A note to editors

A practice that publishes and is cited, rather than one that advertises.

Between 2020 and 2024, Senshu-A has appeared in fourteen editorial placements across Japan Architect, Domus, and ArchDaily, and has been recognised by two juried juries: the Japan Institute of Architects, and the SD Review panel. The studio has also lectured at the 2024 Tokyo Architecture Biennale and the 2023 Yokohama Architecture Forum.

JIA Newcomer Award 2023

Japan Institute of Architects (JIA), Established Practitioners’ Committee. Awarded to a single project each year for “a built work that advances the practice of architecture in Japan by a studio within its first fifteen years of operation.”

  • Japan Institute of Architects (JIA) — full member, founding cohort of the Newcomer Award programme.
