The Sendagi office, in plain terms.
The studio occupies a converted two-story timber building in Sendagi, Bunkyo-ku, a six-minute walk from Sendagi Station on the Chiyoda Line. We host commissioning meetings in a dedicated ground-floor room on Tuesdays and Thursdays; phone enquiries are answered on weekdays between 09:30 and 18:00 by the studio's administrative lead, who will route your call to the relevant partner.
If you are visiting from outside Tokyo, please write to the studio in advance — same-day walk-ins cannot be accommodated. The office is not a public gallery; commissioned work photography and models are available by appointment through the Journal desk.

How quickly will a partner reply to my submission?
Within five business days. Submissions are read by a senior partner before they are routed; if your project falls outside our current scope or capacity, we will say so plainly and, where possible, suggest a colleague.

What does the first meeting cover?
A sixty-minute scoping conversation at the Sendagi office. We review the site, the program, the budget band, and the decision timeline; you leave with a written indication of fit, a proposed partner lead, and a rough fee envelope — not a fee proposal, which follows a second working session.

Do you take commissions outside Tokyo and the Kanto region?
Yes. Roughly two thirds of our active commissions in 2025 sit outside Kanto, including work in Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sapporo metros. Site visits are scheduled quarterly for non-Tokyo projects; we maintain partner studios only in Tokyo, so coordination is run from Sendagi throughout.

At what stage should I bring Senshu-A into a project?
Ideally before land is finalized. Our in-house urban design and entitlement team can add the most value when they are able to read the site, the zoning envelope, and the access conditions together — typically a 3–6 week head-start against the conventional architect-on-board timeline. We do take on later-stage commissions, but the conversation shifts accordingly.
